Postgraduate professional internship in Psychology - to be admitted to the Professional Practice Exam: Sections A and B of the Professional Register

At the Department of Philosophy and Communication Studies it is allowed to carry out the professionalizing post-graduate internship, necessary to access the Professional Practice Exam (sections A and B of the Professional Register), as a suitable and approved institution.

The activities included in the scientific project are related to the AREAS of Cognitive Psychology and Experimental Neuropsychology.

The research activity focuses on the following themes:

  • Grounding of language in sensor-motor processes,
  • Specificity of simulation activated by the understanding of verbs and nouns,
  • Relationship between affordance and language,
  • Representation of concrete and abstract concepts in an Embodied perspective,
  • Language as a tool that modifies the interaction with the world,
  • Physical and social affordance,
  • Attribution of the ownership of neutral objects,
  • Trans-cultural differences in perceptual, attentional and emotional processes,
  • Psychodrama as an interface between psychoanalysis and cognitive sciences,
  • Clinical applications of Embodied Cognition: analytical psychodrama.

INTERNSHIP PROJECT

With regard to the presence of the typical actions of the profession, among the activities included in the scientific internship project, in line with the list proposed by the Convention (art. 2, pp. 4-5) and with the facilities (laboratories) available in the FILCOM Department, it is considered important to specify the areas of activity, that is:

  1. implementation of projects in the field of neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience,
  2. application of ergonomic knowledge to the design of technologies and the improvement of interaction between individuals and specific activity contexts,
  3. construction and/or adaptation to the specific context of psychological investigation tools,
  4. experimentation, research and teaching activities in the psychological field.
